And a sense of Practicality!
Michael had been presented with a “promotion” requiring us to leave behind our lives in Texas and embrace the rhythm of Music City. Unfamiliar with Mid-Tennessee real estate market and not wanting to rush into a purchase that we would end up regretting, and not wanting to pay for something that we would never own and line the pockets of others, we chose to join the ‘Destination Dwellers’, purchasing a 5th wheel that worked well for our lifestyle.
Now that we had the RV, we were in search for a location and what we found shocked us. Some RV parks offered little more than gravel pads and power pedestals, while others charged atrisanal pricing for water parks, cart rentals, aquatic access, and amenities we would never utilize; Some were all-inclusive with reasonable fees, having rustic charm, though they were over an hour from the nearest civilization; And others were convenient but lacked any sense of community, comfort, standards, security, or pride.
We realized something…
The RV lifestyle deserves better.
We didn’t want another place to simply park. We wanted a place where people actually wanted to stay; A place where neighbors become friends; A place where life slows, pets play, and evenings end watching fireflies dance under the Tennessee sky.
That vision became Firefly Estates.
